ATPI Self Portrait Contest

I like this photo because its really stange and kinda creepy and dream like. I like the subject because its kinda strange and it makes you see things in a different way. I also love her use of the spotlight on her it gives this image a staged kinda street like quality/grittiness. I like the composition and how she set the camera up just straight ahead of her with a blank background because it makes it feel staged and it makes it like a story. The image is like a strange story or part of a movie almost and it makes me want to know more.

I like this photo because of its use of colors and the purple and black shadows and undertones it has in it. I also like its simplicity its just like a straight on picture but the way he messed with it and the light on his forehead gives it this unique and kinda dark mood.

The photo I'm talking about in this is the one of the creepy old lady in red. I like this photo because of its well planned composition and how she's off to the side a little bit and the black background for simplicity that makes us focus on her face. I also liked the different striking colors the photographer used together; the white of the woman, the red of her shall and the blackness of the background. Also the lighting in this photo is well done as she is bright and well lit while the background is pitch black which makes her really pop. The subject is really cool and interesting to look at as well.
